On Monday, Leicester Crown Court was told call records and data retrieved from phones recorded Ms Wandelt consistently requesting Madeleine's mother for a DNA test during the past two years.

Madeleine's case in 2007 - as a three-year-old during a vacation in Portugal - is one of the most widely reported missing child cases and continues to be unsolved.

'I Am Not Seeking Money'

One phone message, shared in court, recorded Ms Wandelt saying: "I understand I'm heavy and plain like Madeleine used to be, but I know what I know."

While one recording of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's recording stated: "What if there is a small chance that I'm her? What then? Wouldn't that be crucial for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I have a existence here in Poland, I only wish to know," the recording stated.

The tribunal was advised that through emails, mobile messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt demanded a DNA test, forwarded childhood photos to her phone in a attempt to show a likeness to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and asserted to have "memories" from a youth with the McCanns.

An intelligence analyst, a data specialist with law enforcement who compiled the evidence, advised the court there "seemed to lack any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt also reached out to family friends of the McCanns, based on the call data.

On that date, Gerry McCann responded to a call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, stating she had "the wrong phone."

During that incident Ms Wandelt deposited a recording on Mrs McCann's recording declaring "I will continue and I will prove my point."

The court heard Mrs Spragg struck up a association through digital means with Ms Wandelt prior to joining her on a visit to the McCanns' home in that area in December 2024.

Call logs demonstrated Mrs Spragg had contacted using communication app to Mrs McCann to express the media had characterized Ms Wandelt as "emotionally disturbed" but that she should be considered genuine in the time preceding the visit to Rothley, that area, in December 2024.

The court was told communications between the two accused, in November 2024, planning endeavoring to obtain Mrs McCann's biological evidence from her trash or from cutlery at a dining venue.

"We must take action," Mrs Spragg told Ms Wandelt.

On the occasion of the trip to their house, the defendant dispatched a text which stated: "We're currently sat near the McCanns' residence with our lights out resembling detectives. I wanted to achieve this with Peter Andrew I didn't imagine I would be involved in this with the McCanns."

The case continues.
